Sophie's Dance Class by Angela McAllister

Sophie's Dance Class - Early Reader

Early Readers are stepping stones from picture books to reading books. A blue Early Reader is perfect for sharing and reading together. A red Early Reader is the next step on your reading journey.Sophie loves to dance. She dreams of being a ballerina, and when she receives ballet lessons for her birthday, she hopes her wish to be a real dancer one day might really come true.

An Early Reader from Orion Children's Books, a series that I really think are perfect for young readers, that will immediately loved by young dancers and ballerinas.

Sophie is about to go to her first ever Ballet lesson and must shop for her new outfit. After dressing as a ballerina, she is ready for her first lesson which she loves and when her brother starts crying after the lesson has finished, Sophie does what she knows best, she puts on a show to entertain him!

The book is fantastic, similar in format to the other books in the Early Reader scheme (many of which are included on this blog) the story is split into manageable chunks by great illustrations and introduces the young readers to chapters. The story can be told via the pictures for children who are too young to read the story themselves.

I think this would make a fantastic read for a young girl who loves dancing and ballet and wants to read her own stories to other children or with her peers.

Thank you to the publishers, Orion Children's Books, for sending me the book to review.
